Yes!
Yes
Regular hours.
No, unfortunately not.
You can call them , and they'll let you know when the tamales will be ready or if there's none left
Don't know call them they will let you know. I did about what types they have.
I Just tried some.. Sweet tamales and green Chile w/cheese are delicious. I had to call them early in advance to reserve the sweet ones because they sell out fast. And thank God they did.. Thank you !
Only way to know, is to call them. I'm sure they will be happy to answer any questions. There are several other tortilla factories in town who do. Shop around and Good luck.
$14.99/dozen
Great bakery, great prices. 10/10
Great tamales. Large like I grew up on. Not the toothpicks you find in the valley!
Went in on the 24th of December. At about 6:30 in the morning. There was a line of about 60 to 75 people there already waiting in line. (They open at 6:00 a.m.). My wife and me did not get inside the bakery doors til about 10:30 a.m. at about 11:00 we were told there was no more tamales. They would not be ready til about 3:00 in the afternoon. Mind you, I called a few days before. I asked if we could order ahead, I was told no. They would be selling from the time they open til the time they close. I asked different people in line if it was this way every year. They said yes. My advise is get them ready by hiring more people since you want to sell them fresh out of the steamer. Standing in line for almost five hours to be told they are not ready til about 3:00. People were coming from far to get tamales. And yet they had none. Try buying them before the 24th and freeze them was what she said
Best prices I've seen in a bakery. Tasty food and the tamales Verde con queso were amazing.
A good variety of mexican pastries and bread.Friendly staff and family run .
The place was very clean and the tamales were the best I have ever purchased anywhere.
Greart tamales they are supersized with maximum flavor.
Bought 12 tamales and they are so good I'm afraid I am going to eat them all in one sitting. Pollo verde is my favorite 😍
Delicious, authentic Mexican tamales and sweet bread. I love getting an empanada and a dozen tamales to take to work.
The tamales are fresh and delicious. The baked goods are worth the drive. You most tu it to see If you love it as much as I do.
I've been going to Gussie's Bakery since I was a kid Delicious Tamales delicious Menudo and a great variety of Mexican sweet bread cakes tortilla and francesitos and don't forget the milk this is the best bakery in El Paso
Bought two dozens, red and cheese tamales... they were old and stale. Called them back and they only agreed the greens were bad and replaced them but they refused to replace or refund the red... definitely not going back. You’re better off buying from Facebook market.
The taste is fine, but I do not appreciate how they have steadily been increasing prices. There are plenty of tasty bakeries in El Paso that have great tasting bread and tamales for a better price.
Love coming here when I can. The small cookies are are a go to for my kids partys
Large selection of great pastries and delicious tamales. Staff was friendly and very efficient.
Excellent! Pulled off of 10 for the tamales and loaded up on the baked treats. Going back.Next morning with a coffee tried the raisin scone and a smiley cookie. So good! Still have a few filled pastries to sample. Sweet day
OMG best tamales! We drive from Horizon to get these!
Great tamales and bakery.
Went on a Sunday at 6am a rude man was there we waited 10mins for the francesitos the man got it with his hands. Did use a glove or the paper they have there 🤮😷
I have always liked Gussie's tamales more than the others in El Paso. Today I was a bit disappointed. I purchased $80 worth of tamales to find a hair in the tamale de dulce. I tried to call and let them know, but the line either rings with no answer or someone picks up and hangs up right away.
Great pastries at an amazing price. I bought a couple bags worth for friends setting up a wedding. We liked ever single one and it came out to 1/4 the price I expected. Would definitely go back.
Great bread good menudo and tamales
Tamales!! No doubt the best red tamales I've ever tasted. Sometimes there's quite a line of customers but well worth standing in line for a dozen or more.
I bought 2 dozen and they were HORRIBLE. The masa was steeped in fat and had a funny taste. For the price you'd think they would make a better product. NEVER again.
Used to come here with my mom a lot. First time by myself since my mom died. The selection has even gotten better and the lady behind the counter was very kind.
Hands down best tamales! Sweet breads, pan dulce, excellent as well!
Tamales here are the bomb definitely recommend this place.
Love this place! Pastries are affordable and the staff is super helpful/friendly! Been going to Gussie's for 5+ years now.
Bad Service. Horrible food. Tamales were nauseating. Threw everything away. Wouldn't feed this to my dog.
One of the best places to get delicious Pan Dulce (Mexican Sweet Bread). They have delicious conchas, and silky soft white bread. They also have tamales and they are pretty good as well. Not too spicy, and just the right seasoning. 👌
They have such great chocolate donuts! If you're a fan of chocolate I recommend to try these donuts! The employees are also very sweet and welcoming!
The rosca de reyes was stuffed with a delicious flavor, it's the first time I bought and loved it
Great bread. Best I've had in El Paso. Only sweet bread in the heart of Mexico can surpass Gussie's in taste.
The Tamales were real good but not satisfied with their Sweet Bread! It didn't taste fresh!
Donuts & cookies are delicious! Cozy, family-style old school bakery reminds me of home. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back especially when we have guests in from out-of-town. Little pricey if compare to grocery stores or chains, but can’t compare in terms of quality & homemade style (worth it).
I am surprised this place has a lot of 5 star reviews (good marketing team I guess). Service was bad. Menudo was alright, stingy with the toppings though. Tamales were disgusting. Dry, colorless, and flavorless.
Everything is made too perfection! Everything is soft and sweet and absolutely amazing! Can not wait to go back.
Fabulous Tamales Sweet Bread Menudo So Delicious!
The best pastelitos de guava I have ever had!
Tamales were not cooked. Masa is still raw. Called and was told thats how its supposed to be. Ive eaten tamales here before and made my own. This masa is not cooked
They open super early and bread very good and staff very polite
Wow ! Red Tamales, Green Tamales all are good size and delicious... excellent sweet bread, menudo on weekends I can't wait. Bring your best attitude and patience and follow COVID-19 PROTOCOL 😷 WEAR YOUR FACE MASK 🎂🍰☕. 🇺🇸
Great staff, great prices , great home family bakery. Delicious bread assortment
Hands down the best tamales in town. Always consistent, amazing taste, and quality service. The baked goods are great as well. Plus the prices are low.
Sweet bread is amazing! The cakes a delicious and the cookies are adorable! Oh and the tamales are phenomenal!!
The workers were very nice and helpful. Ordered 1/2 dozen tamales and ate 4 of them, they were also huge! Already considering eating the other 2 lol.
Always has the best and freshest pan dulce and for a fair price. My daughter loves going and picking bread for everyone. The lady is always super nice and wholesome. Love this bakery.
Greatly stuffed tamales, and fresh empinadas of mango, lemon, and pineapple! Friendly staff & great deal on menudo. You bring your own pot so they can fill it up. Awesome!
Cashier lady, coughing, sneezing up a storm, cmon now gussie, maybe put her to bake the bread out bac k so we wont notice,
